Funny how there's overlap between The Daily Show/The Colbert Report and The Rachel Maddow Show (MSNBC) now, and not just in topics (almost a gimme) but in specifics. Both TDS and TRMS had "I Now Pronounce You Ben & Jerry" as headlines for their segments dealing with Vermont's new legislation allowing gay marriage. Rachel and Jon Stewart both pointed out that FNC's claim of military "cuts" came in the form of increases in defense spending. (To be fair, some programs were cut or eliminated while others were boosted or added; it's still a net increase, something that "fair and balanced" folks don't tell you. (Of course.)) Rachel and Stephen agree that Glenn Beck needs a history book. I'm just surprised neither Jon nor Stephen went into "teabagging (NSFW!)," at least not nearly as much as Rachel did.
Yes, I'm on a first-name basis with all of 'em.
