About Us:
- Ian Camaclang: The Resident Alian, and yes, I spelled that right (see below). I went to UCSD in beautiful La Jolla, California! It's okay... =). I got my Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, and my B.S. in Bioengineering. Sounds geeky and technical? It is. But the ladies love it. Ask my wife! Anagrams: acing almanac, magical canna. Find yours! Anagrams (resident alian): aliased intern, internal ideas, island trainee.
- Maureen Ibañez: My wife Maureen went to UCSD with me for undergrad (B.S. Molecular Biology) and Yale University for her M.S. in Epidemiology/Public Health. Anagrams: inane emu zebra, rube zen anemia.
- Timothy Camaclang: Our son Timmy was born on Valentine's Day, 2001. He is pure entertainment. Anagrams: galactic ham monty, manic myth catalog.
- Evelyn Camaclang: Our daughter Evelyn was born on Valentine's Day, 2005. (That's not a copy-and-paste error; she really was born on Timmy's fourth birthday!) She is a princess in many senses of the word. Anagrams: calm navel agency, elm angel vacancy.
- Spencer Camaclang: Our son Spencer was born on 05 Nov 2010, the 55th anniversary of Doc Brown inventing the flux capacitor in Back to the Future (Thanks, Joe!). Anagrams: calmer can-can pegs, crag clan spacemen.
Theoretically Asked Questions (TAQ):
- What does Resident Alian mean? It's my status as a San Diegan. I'm originally from the Bay -- Hayward, California. And Maureen is from Claremont, CA. Timmy and Evelyn were born in San Diego.
- Don't you know how to spell? "Alian" is just "alien" with my name in it...it's a pun, I guess. I've got tons.
- So why make a home page? I just want to make my home on the web so people who know me or my family or want to know us can visit. Lost contact? Not anymore! Plus, I've got help for all of you web surfers out there, resources for classic and modern gamers, and more cool links.
- Can I make my own page? Sure, I've got some tips. Visit my web help page.
- Why "Theoretically..."? It can't be "Frequently" since I hardly (actually never) get asked these questions. And with the above answers the questions will probably still never get asked. They're preemptive explanations of things.
Announcements:
-
05 Jan 2012: Happy New Year! I made the site more mobile-browser-friendly. It didn't take too much work since I'd already coded the pages with PHP, XHTML, CSS, and strict compliance. I pretty much just had to add the meta viewport tag to my html headers and do a bit of layout rearrangement. I've also been updating the tech page every so often.
-
28 Jul 2011: Updated the tech page again, adding Windows 7 and my setup details.
-
22 Nov 2010: Updated and cleaned up the tech page a bit. New details on AGDI (KQ1, KQ2 fixes and now supporting Mac), IA (SQ2 progress update), and ScummVM (SCI support).
-
05 Nov 2010: Welcome, Spencer! Born today, he's Timmy and Evelyn's new little brother. I'm still quite behind on the gallery, but I put up Spencer's mini-site. Enjoy!
-
26 Sep 2010: I'm quite behind again on the gallery, but I finally updated the concerts page and the bands page, after the recent Muse concert. I had two other concerts unposted till now. I still have lost of new shows to post, but those will come sooner or later.
